Divide annual salary by total work hours per year. For a standard 40-hour week: $60,000 ÷ 2,080 = $28.85/hour. The Salary to Hourly calculator also shows monthly, biweekly and daily rates.

Divide your target annual income by billable hours. Freelancers typically bill 25-30 hours per week (not 40). With $80,000 target, 30 billable hours and 4 weeks off: $80,000 ÷ 1,440 = $55.56/hour.
