Enter your clock-in time, clock-out time and break duration. The calculator shows net hours in both HH:MM and decimal format. Most payroll systems use decimal hours, so 7h 30m becomes 7.50.
Divide the minutes by 60. For example, 7 hours 45 minutes = 7 + (45/60) = 7.75 decimal hours. Common values: 15 min = 0.25, 30 min = 0.50, 45 min = 0.75.
Yes. If your end time is earlier than your start time (e.g., start 22:00, end 06:00), the calculator assumes you worked through midnight and calculates correctly.
Most employers require unpaid lunch breaks (typically 30-60 minutes) to be deducted. Enter your break time and the calculator subtracts it automatically. Short paid breaks (10-15 min) usually count as work time.
