What time is it in another time zone? Enter a time and its UTC offset, then choose the target offset to see the converted result. The tool uses fixed UTC offsets rather than named time zones, so it works deterministically without worrying about daylight saving transitions. Check your region's current UTC offset before converting if DST is in effect.

Frequently asked questions

EST is UTC-5 and PST is UTC-8, a 3-hour difference. Subtract 3 hours from EST time: 3:00 PM EST = 12:00 PM PST. During daylight saving, EDT is UTC-4 and PDT is UTC-7 (still 3 hours apart).

For practical purposes, UTC and GMT are the same (UTC+0). GMT is the historic term based on the Prime Meridian at Greenwich, England. UTC is the modern standard used in computing and aviation.

This tool uses fixed UTC offsets, not named time zones. During DST, regions shift their offset (e.g., EST UTC-5 becomes EDT UTC-4). Select the current offset for your region to get accurate results.

Know your UTC offset: US Eastern = UTC-5 (winter) or UTC-4 (summer), UK = UTC+0 or UTC+1, India = UTC+5:30, Japan = UTC+9. Enter the UTC time with offset 0 and your local offset.

India (UTC+5:30), Nepal (UTC+5:45), Iran (UTC+3:30) and parts of Australia (UTC+9:30) use half-hour or 45-minute offsets. This tool supports UTC+5:30 and UTC+9:30 in the dropdown.
