Frequently asked questions
Divide distance by speed. If you are driving 100 miles at 60 mph, the time is 100/60 = 1.67 hours or about 1 hour and 40 minutes.
Multiply mph by 1.60934. So 60 mph is about 96.6 km/h. To go the other way, divide km/h by 1.60934.
Speed equals distance divided by time. If you traveled 150 km in 2 hours, your average speed was 75 km/h.
Distance equals speed times time: 70 x 3 = 210 miles (about 338 km). This assumes constant speed without stops.
Calculate driving time first, then add your planned stop time separately. For a 500-mile trip at 65 mph, driving time is about 7 hours 42 minutes. Add 30-60 minutes for gas and food stops.
